MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION
In this course we will:
● Expand teachers’ understanding of identity and diversity beyond race and ethnicity
● Develop a strengths-based approach to understanding how identity influences teaching and learning.
● Implement evidence-based practices for developing a culturally responsive, engaging, and supportive
pedagogical approach while maintaining high expectations for assessing students’ learning and growth.
● Remove the MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION license provision (Nevada)
Course Dates: Spring 2025 | January 20 through March 23, 2025
Course Format: Meet once each week via Zoom and complete all other coursework online.
Course Text: All required readings/texts are included in CANVAS.
Credit: 3 SUU graduate-level, continuing education credits | Cost: $69.00 paid directly to SUU

Credit: 45-hour RPDP Certificate of Professional Learning | Cost: None
